Being self-employed means finances can ebb and flow. For the most part, Susan has managed her healthcare expenses out-of-pocket, working directly with providers for regular check-ups and scans, as traditional insurance has become increasingly cost-prohibitive.

About seven years ago, Susan began experiencing serious cortisol imbalances—affecting her energy, metabolism, and overall wellbeing. She did everything she could to manage it naturally through diet, supplements, and therapeutic stress reduction. But over time, symptoms gradually escalated. Unfortunately, financial limitations delayed the kind of in-depth testing that may have uncovered the root cause much earlier.

As her condition progressed, adrenal-related complications began to pile up. The past 15 months became an intense season of medical troubleshooting—until a turning point came through a dear friend in the California Healin’ community. It was her encouragement to specifically request imaging of the adrenal area that finally led to answers. Without that insight, Susan might still be leaping aimlessly through medical hoops without clarity or direction.

Imaging revealed a tumor pressing into the area beneath the adrenal gland—offering long-awaited clarity after years of unanswered questions.

While the tumor is not currently life-threatening, its size and placement have begun causing serious issues. Swallowing has become increasingly hazardous, with frequent episodes of choking, and keeping food down has become a growing struggle. These challenges have made daily life more difficult—especially while running a business and caring for a small hobby farm full of beloved animals.

This GoFundMe is being set up to help ease the financial burden of follow-up care, any continued testing, and the upcoming surgery to remove the tumor.
